The Orleans Parish Democratic Executive Committee (OPDEC) voted to endorse Aylin. She said, "I am proud to have your endorsement and remain committed to our ideals. There is hope for our City if we elect accountable and morally courageous leaders with a vision to fix failing infrastructure and improve public safety for the long term."

The Independent Women’s Organization of New Orleans (IWO) announced its endorsement for Aylin to represent the people of District A on the City Council.
“I am very gratified that IWO has endorsed me to represent the people District A on the City Council,” Maklansky said. “I am committed to being a warrior on issues of equity, equal pay, domestic violence, access to healthcare and childcare and expanded economic opportunities for all people to build a more resilient city where our people, families, and businesses can thrive.”
